Do it Slow

On the days when you don’t feel like you can do it at all – do it slow. When you’re so exhausted you don’t think you can walk – do it slow. As long as you’re doing it, it doesn’t matter how fast you go.

I messed up my routine a little yesterday and it resulted in me not having lunch for today. I had to postpone breakfast and eat it before the gym. After going to the gym and using up those calories, I dreaded the walk right after. I was beat and ready to just head home. But I put on the weighted vest and walked at a pace I could handle.

I didn’t make it as far as I typically do, I didn’t sweat as much, I wasn’t as wiped out at the end – but I still did it. I stayed out there for 45 minutes and walked. I did it slow, but it got done.

It doesn’t matter how slow you progress as long as you are. It can take you years to achieve your goal while another person did it in months. Who cares? Go at the pace you need to as long as you’re working at it every day. Take all the time you need and put in as much effort as you can muster.
