Every time I listen to Braden Bales on Spotify, I’m baffled. It makes no sense hearing Braden’s beautiful, emotional lyrics and seeing less than 3000 monthly listens and under 10k followers on Tik Tok. Braden is a prime example of a talented musician who deserves way more recognition and therefore I am hyped to have him on the show. Braden is a 19 year old singer/songwriter from Canada who turns his emotions into music. He always had music around him growing up and eventually started making his own. Using his ADHD to his advantage, he sits with his thoughts and feelings and lets the words and ideas flow out of him. He’s able to take intricate details of moments in time and form one cohesive song to describe a time in full detail. Braden and I discuss his journey with music, trying to grow on Tik Tok, possibilities of college, advice for creatives, and much more. There’s no doubt in my mind that Braden will gain a huge following in very little time, so make sure you hop on the train now to claim your “I liked him before he was cool” badge.

Expedition to Try is a podcast with the goal of introducing you to your new favorite artists, musicians, entrepreneurs, and all around passionate individuals who haven’t made it big yet. At ETT, we want to give the underdogs a shot. So many other podcasts interview the experts, the successful, and the people at the top. Why not give a voice to the people who don’t have the giant platform yet? We all have an interesting story to share and insights/advice to give, so let’s give everyone the opportunity to do just that. Hopefully the stories of others will inspire you to pursue your own hobbies and passions!
