On this week’s episode, Keith Karol, lead singer of pop punk band Northvale, joins me to chat about his musical journey. Northvale is an up and coming band from NJ including Keith Karol (Vocals), Mike Piacentini (Guitar), Chris Stroz (Guitar), Kevin Miller (Bass) and Aren Millan (Drums). I came across Northvale on Tik Tok and immediately reached out to interview them. Keith and I discuss his personal music journey from listening to Doo Wop and Hip Hop, to picking up a guitar, learning how to sing, playing guitar in Casual Friday, to finally becoming the lead singer of Northvale. We talk about the power of DMing people just for the heck of it – what’s the worst that can happen? Reaching out to people has led to Northvale working with Joey Flemming of In Her Own Words, AJ Perdomo of A Dangerous Summer, Oliver Baxxter of Broadside, and Hit the Lights. Only being 25 years old, Keith and the other guys are all finding ways to balance full-time jobs with pursuing music, keeping up on social media, and building their tribe of fans. Keith shares great advice on balancing music and life, pursuing music of any sort, staying relevant on socials, and much more. I’m so excited to share this interview and share this rad dude and band with you!
