If you’re stuck in one place because you’re scared of the next step, force your action. Push yourself into the next stage so you have no choice but to progress.
I’m stuck in this phase of my coffee business journey. I’ve reached out to my list of coffee lovers, I have all the supplies I need in my online shopping carts, I know what I have to do next.
So why am I not doing it?
To be honest I’m not 100% sure. Screwing something up is a big fear. I’m concerned with the workload and that I won’t be able to handle it. Spending money with no guarantee of return also terrifies me. I have a lot of excuses and a Stoic, Self-Improvement focused response to every single one of them.
At this point, I think it’s a matter of forcing my action. The only way I’m going to progress is if I shove myself into the stage. By doing this, I’ll have no choice but to figure things out.
I’m sure this happens to a lot of us. We want to push ahead in whatever we’re working at, but there’s something holding us back. But think about it – if you weren’t ready to take the next steps, your mind and body wouldn’t even have the thought of doing so.
You’re ready. You can move forward and you’re going to figure everything out. You’ve done it before to get where you are now, so why not trust yourself and do it again?
You’re going to make mistakes. Who the hell cares? You’ve made countless mistakes in the past, but you’ve learned and tweaked your processes. Sometimes you have to spend money and risk it as a way to invest in your own future. In the grand scheme of things, it’s not that big of a hit to your account.
So if you’re fearful and hesitating, force your action. Give yourself the push it needs to move onto the next steps of your path.
Trust the process and most importantly, trust your own ability to achieve amazing results. You’ll learn, you’ll adapt, and before you know it, you’ll be ready to move onto the next stage.
