I often ask myself “Do I have any right to write these blogs and give advice?” I am in no way “successful” in the sense of having my life figured out.
With this thought in mind, I remind myself that I write my blogs more for myself than anyone else. I write about my thoughts, my habits, and give my future self reminders for when I feel down, confused, or impatient.
I can’t sit here and type something, saying “This is what you should do.” I have no idea if what I’m doing now will work out. I have no clue if the thoughts and perspective I have now will help me or be the same in the future as they are now.
So I will never claim to have all the answers. Each blog comes with an invisible discretionary note saying “I, Bryce, am not a philosopher, doctor, nutritionist, or expert in any subject. This blog is not a means for you to uproot your life. This blog is not the end all be all answer for your problems.”
I write for myself. I write to share my ideas, share my journey, share my outlook on the world. Not as a means to tell you “This is the right way.” or “This is how you should think.”, but as a way to make you think.
I personally enjoy reading how others think about the world and how others have found ways to cope/figure out the world. It’s cool to see other perspectives and ideas. I don’t necessarily need to agree or put their advice into action. All the other ideas out their make me think, reconsider, and reflect on my own life.
Maybe my blogs will do the same for you.
