What You’re Drawn To – Choose Your Pursuits And Invest Time

Invest time in the things you’re drawn to – those that grab your attention. These are the things that will lead you to discovering your passions.

As I read, I come across a lot of quotes, book suggestions, scientific studies, and other topics. Some of these things draw me in, they make me want to learn more, while others are just background information. When something grabs my attention, I make an effort to invest time into it.

Whenever something catches my eye, I feel like my brain is telling me to pursue it. There’s some reason it chose to focus on this and not something else, so I should give it attention. It may not always lead to something, but it at least gives me the closure I need.

Life follows a complex path. There are many intricacies, many forces at work, and pieces to place in the puzzle. There are so many things we can never predict when it comes to where our life will go next.

It was impossible for me to know I’d find a passion in coffee – I never drank it before I was 22. I would’ve never thought I’d have this podcast and blog. Who could’ve predicted I’d love watercolors as much as I do?

You cannot predict where your life is headed, but you can help make the trip more interesting. Try to prevent your own stagnation, especially if you’re not happy where you are. Invest time and energy into the topics and activities that draw you in. There’s some reason they caught your attention, so why not see where it leads?

With the help of the internet, you can learn more about anything your heart desires. If and when something catches your eye, a quote, book, study, or anything else, look it up! There is no harm in falling down the rabbit-hole of new information.

Who knows? Maybe this will lead you to something amazing.
