This coffee tells a story – one of a mysterious forest, a shack, and an old man questioning the complexities of life as he smokes a pipe.
Taking a stroll through the forest, you notice a quaint shack. The shack almost perfectly blends into the dense forest with its outer walls overrun with vines. At first glance, you believe it impossible for someone to live here, but there’s an air of herbal tea and… caramel? You cautiously step through the door and the warmth of the home embraces you. You take everything in – the wood stove warming a kettle for tea, the faint smell of scotch from the night before, an array of papers strewn about, and the crackle of a vinyl reaching the final notes. Your eyes fall on an old man, sitting with his legs crossed, smoking a tobacco pipe, relaxed, but clearly engrossed in thought.
“Hello…” You say in hope of not startling the man or wrecking his train of thought. “I’m sorry to just walk in, but something about this place was drawing me in. What is this place?”
“This, my friend, was my escape from the mundane.”
How this story goes is for you to decide. So brew up some of this rich, bold, full, and fragrant dark roast from Sumatra and ponder the mysteries of the forest and the old man in the shack.
