Let go and trust the process. Doing so feels better and leads to the same, if not better outcomes as doing the opposite. Let go of your stress in this moment and trust that the Universe is unfolding in ways to help you.
After being out of work for 6 weeks, I’m coming back with the intention of trying a new mindset. Something clicked in my mind. I thought, “What’s the point of stressing and rushing around when it’s busy?”. I have always done every task I’ve needed to do, I have always worked through every customer in line, I have always closed down the shop to the best of my ability.
Stressed or calm, I always finish the job.
Consider a time when you were full of stress. Did you have an assignment, a job to do, a presentation? Now consider just how beneficial that stress was. Did your stress actually help you or was it simply a distraction in the overall process? A process that was going to play out no matter what.
In my eyes, everything is going to “work out”. Everything in life will run its course, come to an end, and lead to the next thing. Life plays out regardless of how stressed or calm you are, so wouldn’t you rather feel good while it happens?
How do you do this? How do you stop stressing and stay present instead? The answer is going to be unique to each of us. I’ve been trying to catch my stress rising. Once I catch the stress, I remind myself that I’ll get through it. I remind myself that I can feel however I want to in each moment, so I should try to let go and feel calm. I’m trying to trust the Universe and have faith that everything around me is working in ways that will benefit me.
You really only have an impact on a small portion of this Universe, so you may as well manage that portion to the best of your ability and enjoy it.
You will finish the job. Everything will play out how it will. Your stress does nothing to lead to a better outcome. Stay calm, stay present, trust the process, and be the best you can be at whatever you’re doing.
