You’re Not Powerless

There is always something you can do. You are never powerless, so don’t act like you are.

Life throws a lot of shit at us. The obstacles we face are unique to us – depression, anxiety, stress, lack of motivation, etc. Though we may think we cannot control any of these things, that is not the case. There is always something we can do.

With stress comes the ability to optimize your routine, to find new methods, and discover ways of preventing recurrences.

With depression and anxiety comes our ability to look at our current habits, realize they aren’t helping us, and alter them – our sleep patterns, fitness, diet, and pursuit of the activities that make us happy.

Our lack of motivation offers us the opportunity to reflect – are you working on something you care about or should you move on? It allows us to start fresh with habit formation by doing one thing today and slowly working your way up to a more productive self.

You always have a choice to do something. You always have the ability to view events and emotions from a different lens. There is always an opportunity for you to try something new and see if it improves your quality of life.

You are not powerless. If you do not like how your life is playing out, make a change.
