You Have What Someone Else Wants

Take a second to realize that what you have is what someone else wants.

You’ve thought about this before. You know you should be grateful for what you have. You know there’s someone in a tough spot who wishes they could be where you’re at.

But have you really thought about it? Have you truly conceptualized the idea?

What if this was your default response? Imagine looking at your follower count and saying “Gosh, there’s someone out there who wants what I have. They wish they had the courage to even start something similar to what I have.” You could have 10 followers, but that’s 10 more than the person who never created their account.

You could be posting 3 times a week, wishing and stressing over posting more content. Or you could keep posting 3 times a week and realize that someone out there is jealous of how active you’re able to be on socials.

Maybe you’re able to eat one healthy meal a day, but you want nothing more than to do more. Someone out there looks at you and wonders how the heck you’re able to do that.

Everything you have, the habits you’ve formed, the talents you possess, the actions you’ve taken, no matter how small they seem to you, someone out there wants what you have. Someone out there craves the consistency you have. Desires the courage you exude. Dreams of the day they have 500 followers.

So don’t downplay your achievements. Be grateful for what you have. Be proud of yourself for taking those first steps and for sticking with it.

You can look forward to having more, but don’t let that prevent you from being thankful for what you already have.
